Megan Wicht knows what it takes to build something. Raised in Grand Island by a family with deep roots in local business, she grew up watching what happens when people pour themselves into an idea — and she's spent her career helping businesses tell that story.

Megan studied marketing and management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she graduated with a fascination with consumer behavior — specifically, what makes people actually want something. "It's a great mix of creative and strategy," she says, and her career has lived in that overlap ever since.

Before joining IdeaBank, Megan served as Digital Media Specialist at Beatrice Community Hospital, where she grew the hospital's many social media profiles. Before that, she led marketing and tourism for the Gage Development Coalition, where she launched a Young Professionals group. She's also certified in Google Analytics, which means she doesn't just launch campaigns — she watches what they do.

What gets Megan out of bed in the morning? Seeing a campaign come to life. "Bonus points if you hear someone talking about it in the wild," she says. As a project manager at IdeaBank, she'll be in the room for all of it — every step from concept to execution for clients' print and digital campaigns.

Outside the office, Megan spends time with her husband Dalton, their daughter Piper, and their dog Beckett. She's also an avid reader, a plant person, and someone who exercises regularly — and, for what it's worth, she has counted exactly 1,692.5 freckles.

She’s Nebraska-raised and exactly the kind of person who finishes what she starts.

CliftonStrengths

Woo | Individualization | Communication | Positivity | Achiever

Megan leads with Woo — she connects quickly, puts people at ease, and leaves a room better than she found it. Her Individualization strength means she pays attention to what makes each person and each project unique, rather than running everything through the same template. Communication keeps her sharp in the spaces between teams and timelines, while Positivity ensures the energy stays up even when deadlines don't. And her Achiever strength means she doesn't just manage projects — she finishes them.
